Pumpkin Carving Hacks – Fun ways to carve your pumpkin

It’s one week until Halloween night and you still need to carve your jack-o-lantern?! Check out some of our favorite ways to decorate your pumpkin! Even if you want to skip the carving all together and just paint it, there are tons of cool ideas you can try! Here are 9 pumpkin carving hacks to save you the hassle and make it more fun!

PUMPKIN SPICE!

Sprinkle some cinnamon on the underside of your pumpkin’s lid. When your jack-o-lantern is lit up, your home will smell like pumpkin pie. 🙂

SKIP THE SHARPIE USE DRY ERASE

Use dry erase markers to draw designs directly onto your pumpkins before carving.

GLOW IN THE DARK PAINTED PUMPKIN

Draw on your pumpkin with glow in the dark or neon puff paint to give it a glowing look! Even more cool is to set it next to a black light.

GLITTER MONOGRAMMED PUMPKIN

Apply a little glue and glitter on your pumpkin and tada! The best part is you don’t even have to carve or gut your pumpkin.

GLOW STICK PUMPKIN

Instead of the typical candle inside your pumpkin try placing a glow stick or two inside to have your pumpkins glow like the rainbow.

EASY PAINTED PUMPKINS

There is no easier way to decorate your pumpkin than with some acrylic paint! Try covering the stems with glitter for another splash of color.

MR. POTATO HEAD PUMPKIN

Grab your child’s Mr. Potato head and stick the body parts onto your pumpkin.

PUMPKIN VASE

Turn your pumpkin into a flower vase.

COOKIE CUTTER PUMPKIN

Use a cookie cutter and a rubber mallet to carve pumpkins to perfection. You’ll get an even, symmetrical design every time.
