Where to eat at the Restaurant Row in Hughes Landing, The Woodlands

The Dallas-based Howard Hughes Corp., in cooperation with The Woodlands Development Co., welcomes a new neighborhood in the prominent community of The Woodlands-Hughes Landing.

Hughes Landing is an area between Town Center and Research Forest. It will feature the 390-unit apartment building One Lake Edge and other excellent amenities.

Among these amenities is a Restaurant Row with a space for 12 sophisticated dining options, including:

Califonia Pizza Kitchen

This is one of the most popular names in Restaurant Row. California Pizza Kitchen offers pizzas using fresh ingredients and made from hand-tossed dough baked in an open hearth. CPK’s chefs prepare these dishes from scratch and serve authentic California-style cuisine.

Del Frisco’s Grille

This upscale bar and grill offers classic American dishes and handcrafted cocktails. Guests will enjoy an incredible dining experience with Del Frisco’s awesome selection of seafood and steaks. Plus, all dishes are made from locally-sourced ingredients.

Escalante’s Fine Tex-Mex and Tequila

With a patio overlooking the beautiful Lake Woodlands, Escalante’s is another excellent dining option in the Restaurant Row. Aside from the view, their tasty fajitas and empanadas made from a top secret family recipe are crowd pleasers. Escalante’s also offers delicious handcrafted margaritas.

Truluck’s Seafood, Steak and Crab House

What makes Truluck’s seafood and steaks unique? It’s the amount of dedication and passion the owners put in gathering and preparing the food.

For their supply of fresh crabs, the restaurant gets them from the Isle of Capri, just outside of Naples. Truluck’s also follows Ocean Conservancy guidelines to ensure that all the seafood they serve remain fresh, and do not endanger the marine supply.

Their  meat is 100% organic and hormone-free. The lamb, pork, and beef come from family-owned farms and ranches and are only fed high-quality vegetarian feeds.

Local Pour

Local Pour takes pride in the food and drinks that they offer to Hughes Landing. Its menu offers scrumptious sandwiches and entrees. But what you can’t miss is its extensive list of draft beer, bottled brews, and handcrafted drinks. Local Pour also has a varied wine list that will please different palates.

Fogo de Chao

This fine dining Brazilian steakhouse is a Dallas treasure that has made its way to The Woodlands. The perfect place to host any special occasion, Fogo de Chao boasts a charming patio and excellent views of the Lake Woodlands.

Residents and visitors of Hughes Landing can now relish its excellent wine and authentic churrasco or “grilled meat” in Portuguese and Spanish.

The Blue Fish

Slated to open in mid-January 2016, The Blue Fish is the seventh dining establishment in The Woodlands. The 5,000-square foot restaurant will serve Japanese and Asian fusion.

The restaurant, which was founded 17 years ago, has branches in other locations, with two in Houston.  It’s known for the “original Ahi  Tower,” decadent layers of sushi rice, avocado, snow crab, and ahi tuna topped with seaweed, caviar, and wasabi cream sauce.

The Blue Fish also offers craft cocktails, an extensive wine list and sakes selected by a Certified Sake Specialist.
